The mission of the Division of Fire and Life Safety is to prevent the loss of life and property from fire and explosion. We are composed of three Bureau's: Life Safety Inspection; Plan Review; and Training and Education.
Alaska's training and education bureau provides fire training and public fire education services to the Alaskan Fire Service.
IFSAC-The Training and Education Bureau (TEB) is accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress
Application for Certification Apply for certification in the following areas: basic firefighter, firefighter I, firefighterII, fire officer I, emergency vehicle driver and instructor, fire investigator I and II, marine instructor, aircraft instructor, specialty instructor, basic marine ff, adv, marine ff, basic aircraft rescue, public educator, haz-mat awareness, haz-mat operations, rapid intervention tech, and RIT instructor.
